This past Thursday, we kicked off the DrayNow Webinar series. With these webinars, we aim to present what we’re seeing in the industry and how we’re approaching intermodal with a fresh look, bringing innovative thinking and technology to the table.

Hosted by myself, I got to discuss pricing within intermodal, and how there is indeed a way to blend static methodologies with a more dynamic approach when it comes to pricing. How can this be achieved? With technology of course! Whether it’s spot, contract, or project freight, we can handle it.

Between our TRUprice tool, marketplace model and getting capacity directly from carriers through the app, we have the tools on hand. You can get up to minute pricing feedback prior to posting, while having the load’s performance on the marketplace reflect the price it’s set at.

I also couldn’t forget the impact on pricing within intermodal in the age of COVID-19. The fact is that every day, things are changing and it is next to impossible to predict what can happen next. Just know that a strategy of mixed modes is advisable in response to the ups and downs of the market.
