Understanding DrayNow
DrayNow connects carriers to local freight in their area through a free and easy-to-use app.
As a carrier you will use your own tractor to haul 53’ intermodal containers to & from the rails.
DrayNow is currently operating from all major rail ramps in the following markets: Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Memphis, Dallas, North Jersey, Northern California, Charlotte, Harrisburg-Chambersburg, Bethlehem, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Scranton, Albany, Buffalo, Syracuse, Springfield and Worcester-Ayer.
DrayNow loads are power only which only require a tractor (the containers are already on the chassis).
You will need an active MC# and DOT with interstate authority.
No, DrayNow does not have a fleet of trucks. In order to haul loads with DrayNow you will need to be an owner operator with your own authority with your own tractor.
No, DrayNow is completely free to download and free to use.
You will need a tandem axle tractor (day cab or sleeper cab).
It is important to note that you cannot use a sprinter van, “dualy,” step deck trailer, or hotshot to haul with DrayNow.
No, hazmat loads are currently not available on the marketplace.
Pieces, weight, and seal information are available before you commit to a load.
The max you will see is in the 42,500 range, but you will want to confirm the weight before you run to ensure it’s within your legal limit.
You can find information about obtaining your own authority via the FMCSA Website.
